Terms and Conditions
Welcome to the Marketplace www.nossaslojas.pt! By using our platform, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before making any purchase.
1. Ownership of the Online Store
The domain and online store available at www.nossaslojas.pt (hereinafter the "Marketplace") are owned by the Municipality of Almeida, headquartered at Praça da Liberdade, no. 8, 6350-130 Almeida, legal entity no. 506 625 419.
2. Scope and Acceptance
These Terms and Conditions govern sales, including registration, ordering and delivery of products offered by various local merchants and by the Municipality itself to users (hereinafter the "Customers") through the Marketplace.
Browsing the website, as well as purchasing any product, implies acceptance of these General Terms of Use and Sale.
3. Purpose
The Marketplace allows the purchase of products and services from registered local merchants. The Marketplace acts as an intermediary by providing a digital space for the marketing of products and services and is not responsible for direct sales or for the quality of products presented by merchants, except for those marketed by the Municipality itself.
4. Registration and Account
To make purchases or orders, the user must create an account and provide true and complete information.
The user must be over 18 years old and is responsible for keeping their account and password confidential, assuming full responsibility for activities carried out through the account.
The Marketplace may suspend or terminate accounts in the event of misuse, fraud, or breach of the Terms and Conditions.
5. Purchases and Payments
Products are sold directly by registered merchants, who determine prices, delivery timeframes, and return policies.
Prices are displayed in euros (€) and include VAT and other applicable taxes.
Payments are processed through the methods available on the platform, which may include credit cards, MB WAY, and other electronic payment methods.
The order will only be processed after payment confirmation. The Customer will receive an email confirming the order and the estimated delivery date.
The Marketplace is not responsible for payment failures or any issues with financial service providers.
6. Deliveries and Returns
The merchant is responsible for delivering the products and must comply with the deadlines stated in the offer.
Additional shipping costs may apply and will be added to the total price. The Customer will be informed of these costs before confirming the order.
The Customer may choose to receive the item at an address of their choice or collect it at the Physical Store (subject to the merchant’s availability). If store collection is selected, the Customer has 15 days after notification to do so. After this period, and if there is no communication to the contrary between the merchant and the customer, the items will be considered abandoned.
The buyer may exercise the right of withdrawal within 14 days, according to applicable legislation, except for legally предусмотр exceptions (e.g., customised products, perishable goods, among others), under Decree-Law No. 24/2014 of 14 February, as amended.
The buyer must communicate the intention to return directly to the merchant through the available contact channels. Products must be returned in their original condition and the Customer shall bear the direct costs of returning the goods, unless the Seller agrees to bear such costs.
Returns are not accepted for customised goods, perishable goods, or sealed goods that cannot be returned for hygiene reasons if opened after delivery.
In case of delivery delay, the buyer should contact the merchant for information or request a refund, where applicable.
7. Warranties and Complaints
Merchants are responsible for ensuring that products sold meet the legal quality and safety requirements under Decree-Law No. 84/2021 of 18 October.
The buyer may complain about defective products within the legal warranty period by contacting the merchant directly.
The Marketplace is not responsible for defective products or inadequate services; the buyer must contact the merchant to resolve the issue.
The Marketplace provides a contact channel (bairrocomercialdigital@cm-almeida.pt) to mediate disputes between users and merchants, without prejudice to the merchant’s primary responsibility.
8. Liability
The Marketplace is not responsible for incorrect information provided by merchants, delivery delays, or any failure by sellers to comply with their obligations.
The user undertakes to use the platform lawfully, without fraudulent or abusive purposes.
Users may not reproduce, distribute, or use platform content (e.g., images, logos) without the express authorisation of the Municipality or the merchants.
